The Plagues of Leviticus

"I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it." (Leviticus 26:16).

YEHOVAH God Almighty has warned that if His people will not obey His commandments, keep His statutes and ordinances, and obey all of His commandments, but continue violating His Covenant, He will appoint terror over those people, which will include consumption and fever that will consume their eyes and soul (the entire body) as it did with almost 3000 people on 9/11/2001.

Can we not relate this prophecy to what we are seeing today? It appears as though many people can no longer go out into the sun to do any work on the outside during the summertime without applying heavy amounts of sunscreen. People fear being in the sun for even a short while because they might get skin cancer. When the author was young, we had no fear of sunlight. Most farmers were heavily tanned on their arms, but they did not disrobe themselves while outside as many people are doing today.

"You show lovingkindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them -- the Great, the Mighty God, whose name is the LORD of hosts. You are great in counsel and mighty in work, for your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings. You have set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, to this day, and in Israel and among other men; and You have made Yourself a name, as it is this day. You have brought Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and WITH GREAT TERROR. You have given them this land, of which You swore to their fathers to give them -- 'a land flowing with milk and honey.' And they came in and took possession of it, but they have not obeyed Your voice or walked in Your law. They have done nothing of all that You commanded them to do; therefore You have caused all this calamity to come upon them" (Jeremiah 32:18-23).

Israel was dwelling in Egypt, which, at that time, was an international power, just like the United States. Egypt held influence over the politics of the ancient world. Then YEHOVAH God began to judge Egypt and brought it to devastation. The plagues had such a destructive effect that Pharaoh's advisers exclaimed, "And Pharaoh's servants said to him, How long shall this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God. DO YOU NOT YET KNOW THAT EGYPT IS DESTROYED?" (Exodus 10:7).

What have we seen occurring as judgment in the past year or so? Muslim religion has turned against Judaeo-Christian religion and the governments that subscribe to this religion. Islamic militants threaten to attack us and destroy our infrastructure and economy.

Islam intends to conquer the world, just as in the time when Charles Martel, Charlemagne's grandfather, defeated the Moors at the Battle of Tours in 732 C.E., halting the advance of Islam into Europe. Islam is again attacking the major nations of the world, intending to gain victory this time.
