YEHOVAH God's New Kingdom to Come
Yeshua the Messiah told his followers to pray in his model prayer. "Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). His will to be done is described as the Kingdom of YEHOVAH God reigning upon the earth in the form of YEHOVAH God Himself and Yeshua the Messiah. YEHOVAH's Kingdom will be an era of peace, Isaiah 2:2-4: "Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Many peoples shall come and say, 'Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in his paths.' For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations, and shall rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more."
The Messiah figure is described in Isaiah 9:6-8. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty god, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David, and over his Kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. The LORD sent a word against Jacob, and it has fallen on Israel."
The mission of the Messiah can be seen in Isaiah 53 as the role of the Redeemer who died for our sins.
Please turn to Ezekiel 37:24-28, where the prophecy appears of a resurrected David who will reign as a viceroy King under YEHOVAH God the Father and Yeshua the Messiah. "David my servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, and their children, and their children's children, forever; and my servant David shall be their prince forever. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. The nations also will know that I, the LORD, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore."
The return of YEHOVAH God the Father is described in Revelation 19:11-16. "Then I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word [Shekinah Glory] of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."
Where will you spend eternity? The decisions you make today will determine the answer to this question. Will you spend eternity in the Kingdom of YEHOVAH God that will be ruled by the magnificent constitution of biblical Law? Or, will your life be extinguished in the lake of fire because you did not repent of your sins? (See Revelation 16:8-9.)
May we help you to find your way into the Kingdom of YEHOVAH god?
