The Sin of Homosexuality

An outstanding characteristic of fallen man is his inability to believe the evidence of his own eyes and ears. Even YEHOVAH God's own servant people, preserved by Him in spite of their sins, were many times rebuked by Him for their failure to hear all that He had spoken: "He hath poured upon him (Jacob-Israel) the fury of His anger, and the strength of battle; and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew it not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart" (Isaiah 42:25).

It would seem that academics and theologians -- especially the latter -- find it difficult to accept YEHOVAH's Truth from one not of their calling or position. In taking offence that YEHOVAH has overlooked them and chosen a "lesser" mortal to serve His purpose, they today stand in rejection of His Word as did the Sanhedrin in the days of the Messiah's earthly ministry. Those who would not accept Yeshua then are the same as those who reject him now. Spiritual wickedness in high places? Indeed!

In YEHOVAH's Word it plainly shows that sodomy and all its attendant perversions are abominations in the sight of YEHOVAH and are roundly condemned. Not only is the Law very clear on this (Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Deuteronomy 23:17), but nowhere in the New Testament Scriptures do we find the law removed or modified. Although many "Christian" scholars ignore this fact, Paul certainly does not (Romans 1:18-32). The reader should pay particular attention to "that recompence of error."

It is claimed that some people are "just built that way." We can expect the enemies of YEHOVAH to make such a claim; but every one who is worthy of the name Christian must deny such a claim because it is not possible for the Righteous and Just God to condemn without cause that which is of His own creation. YEHOVAH has condemned sodomy and all such perversions. They are therefore not of His creation, but the insinuations of Satan into the minds of sinful men.

In history, sodomy is a prominent feature of apostasy and decline. It is a sign of the end of an age. Like Sodom and Gomorah the cry of this people "is waxen great before the face of the Lord" (Genesis 19:13). Disobedience to His Law has resulted in that same Law breaking us in the form of AIDS and its complications -- now sweeping the world. Repentance is the only way to stop this curse. -- John D. Keyser
