A Sin That Stands Condemned

For the sin of sodomy there is only condemnation. As revealed in Genesis 18, YEHOVAH God, accompanied by two angels, was on His way to execute judgment upon Sodom and Gomorrah. On the way “The LORD appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre,” the account begins, which includes the promise given that Sarah will conceive and give birth to a baby son. Then “the men set out and looked towards Sodom, and Abraham went with them to start them on their way” (verse 16). Sodomy is a plague which afflicts Israel (U.S., Britain, etc.) today -- a plague for which there is no cure, only judgment. At the return of YEHOVAH God and the Messiah we can expect the same judgment that was visited upon Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of Abraham. Those who continue to break YEHOVAH’s law will have to pay the full penalty -- read Luke 17:28-30. Judging from the quickening spread of AIDS in our society today, we can expect the full judgment of YEHOVAH when he returns.
