56 Ellen G. White -- Messenger or Medium?
shall know at last that I am the LORD your God IN ZION, MY HOLY MOUNTAIN.
JERUSALEM SHALL BE MINE FOREVER; the time will come when no foreign armies
will pass through her any more. Sweet wine will drip from the mountains, and the hills shall
flow with milk. Water will fill the dry stream beds of Judah, and a fountain will burst forth
from the temple of the LORD to water Acacia Valley...But Israel will prosper forever, and
Jerusalem will thrive as generations pass...FOR MY HOME IS IN JERUSALEM WITH
MY PEOPLE." -- Joel 3:16-21
How much plainer can Joel be?
If you still have doubts, turn to Zechariah for more proof:
Watch, for the day of the LORD [YEHOVAH God the Father] is coming soon!...That day
HIS FEET WILL STAND UPON THE MOUNT OF OLIVES, to the east of Jerusalem;
and the Mount of Olives will split apart, making a very wide valley running from east to
west; for half the mountain will move toward the north and half toward the south...and
the LORD my God SHALL COME, AND ALL HIS SAINTS AND ANGELS WITH

half towards the Mediterranean, flowing continuously both in winter and summer. AND
THE LORD [YEHOVAH God the Father] SHALL BE KING OVER ALL THE EARTH.
In that day there shall be one LORD, His name alone will be worshiped. --Zechar-

that Jerusalem will have peace and prosperity so long that there will once again be aged men
and women hobbling through her streets on canes; and the streets will be filled with boys
and girls at play. The LORD says, "This seems unbelievable to you -- A REMNANT, small,
discouraged as you are but it is no great thing for Me. You can be sure that I will rescue My
people from east and west, wherever they are scattered. I will bring them home again to live
safely in Jerusalem; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, just and true and yet
forgetting them their sins!
A Few Good Men!
To justify their belief in the "desolate earth" theory, the Seventh-day Adventist Church
turns to Isaiah 24, however a careful examination of these verses shows they missed something
very important:
Behold, the LORD makes the earth empty and makes it waste, distorts its surface and
SCATTERS ABROAD its inhabitants. And it shall be: as with the people, so with the
priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as
with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the
