Just Who Is -- "The Alpha
and the Omega"?
The old pagan doctrine of a "pre-existent savior," kept alive and well by religious
impostors through the mediums of radio, television and publishing, is much more
dangerous than most people realize -- because it was actually invented for the
purpose of taking away the HEADSHIP and position of YEHOVAH God our
Creator, and exalting the Messiah to a position that is not rightfully his! This article
uncovers one such attempt to pervert the Scriptures and foist upon the unsuspect-
ing reader the false doctrine of the pre-existence of Yeshua the Messiah.
John D. Keyser
In a letter we recently received from a man on our mailing list, the following comments were
made: "The following four verses claim that both YHVH and Jesus are both the Alpha and the Omega,
which would suggest that Jesus is the Lord of the Old Testament and thus pre-existed according to Wil-
liam Dankenbring's understanding. John records in Revelation the words of God, saying, 'I am Alpha
and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to
come, THE ALMIGHTY' (Revelation 1:8). 'I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no
God. Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it' (Isaiah 44:6). 'I am the First and the Last. I am the Liv-
ing One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever!' (Rev. 1:17-18). Jesus says, 'And, be-
hold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I
AM ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE BEGINNING AND THE END, the first and the last....I Jesus
have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of
David, and the bright and morning star' (Rev. 22:12-16)."
Things are not always what they seem -- Dankenbring not withstanding! This article will explain
the TRUE meaning of the above verses and show how error crept into the 1611 King James Version of
the Bible!
The phrase "the Alpha and the Omega" can be found FOUR TIMES in the King James Version
of the Bible. However, this phrase should only have been included TWO TIMES! Why? Because it
was added to these scriptures in order to infer that it was also Yeshua who was "the Alpha and the
Omega" -- and not just YEHOVAH the Father!
The phrase "the Alpha and the Omega" is first found written in Revelation 1:8 in the King James
Version. In this verse it refers to YEHOVAH -- notice:
